Wearing: An aesthetic of colour

Apart from a minor black period in the history of my wardrobe, I wear colour. Very often. There's just something special about how a vibrant shade, in this case fuchsia, can lift your mood, make you stand out from the crowd and be pleasing to the eye.

I wore this Liam dress for my ball last Saturday. It wasn't its first outing and it definitely won't be its last. I rarely get this dressed up, so I really took my time getting ready and enjoying the process.

The colour is even brighter in person, so I kept jewelry to a minimum and wore a staple black stiletto.

Hair and make-up wise I pinned it into an updo (which I was quite proud of if I do say so myself, as hair styling is not my forte) and went for a black cat-eye flick surrounded by bronze tones of eye shadow and a nude lip.
