I was extremely lucky to assist Dan on the day,
which was an amazing opportunity to get a glimpse of how a salon show is put together. First of all we arrived at the venue and sorted seating and timing. Then we headed back up to the NZ Herald's newsroom where I bagged all the gorgeous clothes and taped the Mi Piaci-sponsored shoes (which protects the soles) before loading everything back into the car.

Back at the venue, models arrived for a walk-through and began to get dressed. The entire show was styled by Dan, who chose from the collections of up and coming kiwi designers, such as: Harman Grubisa, Rachel Mills, Penny Sage, Eugenie and many more. The show was a mélange of luxury and casual dressing, with Dan basing his looks around holiday-makers, with the models instructed to walk like "art collectors on indefinite vacation".

Being behind the scenes of this show I was in heaven. The models were stunning, the clothes even more so and the Viva Team were incredible.
Definitely an event to book in your calendars for next year.
