NZ Fashion Week: Day 4

Today started off with the Francis Jerard show, followed by the Miromoda showcase, a display of 14 Maori designers. Two collections that I loved were Bobby Luke's and Hori and Mimi.

Next up was the ConfiTEX show - a range of incontinence underwear and matching bras! Despite this, the sets were all super sexy and If you hadn't known the underwear was lined, you would never have guessed. Designer Frantisek Riha-Scott delivered a stunner show, and the goodie bags were awesome, so extra points for that.

The Resene showcase in the afternoon was fun, especially the Jockey finale featuring a live band and All Blacks for models!
Sean Kelly, Resene Designer Selection Show

Finally, my favourite show of the week - Sean Kelly. Wow. I loved the sharp contrast of floaty fabrics with structured silhouettes and some pretty risqué pieces. The finalé dress was a red fishnet creation that was completely see-through! Good thing Yaya took it completely in her stride. He also used mirrors to reflect the models as they walked down the catwalk. I heard someone perfectly describe it as "part fashion show, part art installation". The fabrics were immaculate and Sean was very relaxed and friendly backstage as well, something not too common during Fashion Week. I feel pretty lucky getting to be behind the scenes during Sean Kelly's debut NZFW show!
